 THE MISSION OF STEBBINS FOOTBALL
 EDUCATION
1. To provide the best possible environment for our young student-athletes to learn in, this is our job first and foremost. We, as coaches, are fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to expand the classroom onto the football field. Our goal above any other goal is to motive these young men to learn and graduate. Some of our athletes will go to college, the military, or find a trade. Our job is not to decide for them, but lead them to choices that will help them decide what path they want to venture down.
 FUN
2. Very few people are willing to sacrifice for the good of the masses if they are not having fun. This program will not become a routine for our players, we will constantly challenge them to become more than what they themselves expect. Although challenging at times, they will find enjoyment in their accomplishments and understanding in their failures. Fun, does not have to be reckless or chaotic. Fun is what happens when a group of young student-athletes finds success in the program they have committed themselves to.
 WIN
3. I would be foolish not to mention this as a part of our mission. I will not apologize for my players wanting to win or working to win. When the glory has faded and you are left with memories the one common bond we will share is the product. I want the product to be something we all can be proud of. Without the product there are no memories to cherish, there are no reunions, there are no moments! Winning is more than the scoreboard or the records, winning is hidden in the hours of workouts, practices, and games. Winning is found in the hearts and souls of our student-athletes, I will never apologize for this or diminish the importance of winning.

 THE PHILOSOPHY OF INDIAN FOOTBALL

I firmly believe that like life, football should be an educational experience. In this program we will focus on the academics of football, study the game, and learn the game, in the hopes of becoming an upper-level team. We will take this approach in everything we attempt, whether on or off the field of play. Our primary goal is to enrich the lives of these young men through their participation in football. We hope this enrichment will be evident in the classroom, home life, and into the community. As student-athletes we will expect our athletes to take the same approach they use in learning the game, and apply it to their course work, and become upper-level students. Our players will not only win on the field, but most importantly, off the field, into the classroom and society. All of these things will be accoplished by revolving around our golden rule, "DWR", Do What's Right!
I believe that there are certain intangibles that must be met in order to become a member of this tea. Those intangibles are trust, commitment, and caring. Each member of this team will be asked the same three questions: 1) Can I trust you? 2) Are you committed? 3) Do you care? The answers to these questions are yet yes or no. They are found in the way a player conducts himself on the field and off the field. The individuals who make up this team realize that the decisions they make regardless of where and what they are about, will have adirect impact on this team, they must have revolving integrity.
TRUST - The most important ingredient in any relationship. You can not build a winning or successful program wothout trust as your foundation. I want to know that I can trust my players to do the right thing in the classroom, at home, and in the community. then and only then will I be able to trust them to do the right thing on the field. I want my players to know and understand that I am more than just a coach or teacher, I am a friend who is willing to support them and help them if needed. However, if that bond of trust is broken, we have nothing to go on.
COMMITMENT - The ultimate sacrifice of any individual is to set aside their own wants and desires for the betterment of the team. I will ask that my players learn the hierarchy of Indian Football - Family, Team, Me! When we realize that we are a family, we will then become a team, and we will all succeed. In this program to be committed is more that just showing up to practice of school. Being committed is giving 100% in all endeavors. It's refusing to let outside distractions deter us from our goals, and refusing to let mediocrity set in. Becoming committed is a continuous process that breeds continuous results.
CARING - To genuinely care for someone is the ultimate emotion. I will not expect all my players to get along, I know that is not feasible, however, I will ask that they all care about one another. To care is to understand, and we must look at each situation and circumstances that revolve around them before we rush to pass judgement. We will work as a family. Like any family there will be disagreements and disputes. However, once we realize that we are committed and that we can all trust one another, we will soon find that caring for each other's welfare is an emotion that will come naturally.
We will not just win with people, but with quality people. This will be a program that will strive for  excellence in all it does, winning or losing will not determine our success or failure, the effort we put into each endeavor will determine qhere we stand as a team. We will embrace each challenge as they present themselves to us, embracingthem will turn those same challenges into opportunities, which will lead us to VICTORY!
